Bridge Facilities
This award-winning mixed-use development occupies a half-acre site in the heart of Bridgehampton. The design draws inspiration from the agrarian vernacular-barns, sheds, and historic residences-reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. A bent bar form, clad in charred cypress (shou sugi ban), houses a double-height retail space at street level and two private two-bedroom residences above. Each home has its own ground-floor entry, oriented toward a landscaped pedestrian path and garden.
The restrained material palette allows the textures of wood, native grasses, and permeable paving to take center stage—quiet, responsive, and ever-changing with the light. Inside, the same wood wraps into the stairwells, connecting interior and exterior experiences.
